UPPAbaby — the UK's first Mini Hub.
A collaboration that combined a dedicated retail Mini Hub, fast warranty servicing and national tune-up events to grow UPPAbaby's UK footprint.
In this case study we explore our ongoing partnership with UPPAbaby and how Buggy Pitstop has supported the brand's expansion across the UK through specialist servicing, warranty support and the successful launch of the first UK Mini Hub.
The challenge
Since around 2010, UPPAbaby products were distributed in the UK through DCUK, operating solely as a distributor. In 2022, UPPAbaby proposed a merger with DCUK to further develop their presence in the UK market. A key factor in this collaboration was the long-standing relationship between Richard Bamforth (UK Sales Director) and Buggy Pitstop's founder, Aziz Tayabali — which laid the groundwork for partnership. UPPAbaby sought a trusted specialist partner to launch their first UK Mini Hub and enhance customer service and brand visibility.
An ongoing challenge remains raising customer awareness. To grow UPPAbaby's UK footprint, it's critical to boost social engagement and provide compelling content that encourages customers to choose UPPAbaby.
The solution
Buggy Pitstop provided a dedicated retail space alongside a highly skilled team with extensive expertise in pushchair repair and cleaning. Together, we built a comprehensive range of complimentary and paid services at the Mini Hub — including stroller tune-ups, car-seat inspections and installation support, warranty claims handling, product demonstrations, fabric cleaning and repairs.
Our team has also coordinated numerous Tune-Up events across the UK — Bristol, Berkhamsted, Guildford and beyond. We actively promote UPPAbaby strollers through our social channels, documenting before-and-after servicing to showcase product longevity and the meticulous care we apply.
The results
Customer feedback from tune-up events has been overwhelmingly positive. Fast, efficient warranty repair service at our centre allows customers to avoid lengthy pushchair downtime — improving satisfaction and brand loyalty. Our partnership has helped UPPAbaby expand their UK presence with a strong local service offering.
Ongoing partnership
Buggy Pitstop maintains close communication with key UPPAbaby contacts — including Richard Bamforth (UK Sales Director), Claire Beck (Head of Marketing) and Michael Carpenter (National Account Manager). We're actively working to expand the spares product line, enabling customers to easily find and purchase parts directly through us.
